There are over 100,000 people in Victoria who have inherited an altered globin gene. These people who are touched by haemoglobinopathies and those living with thalassaemia major constitute our two primary target groups. The community in general however, is also very important to us because it is education and awareness to potential carriers that forms part of our mandate as a community organisation.
